ABOUT

cats IMG_0299 webAs well as working as an artist Sara also enjoys a career as a freelance Senior Creative Artworker & Designer. She qualified as a Graphic Designer in 1984 and has worked full-time in the industry for over 30 years. After being made redundant in 2005, Sara decided to try freelancing and has been ever since.

In early 2010 she painted a portrait of her 16 year old Siberian Husky Hamlet, whom had passed away a couple of years before. That’s when she decided to develop her lost love of drawing, painting pictures for friends and family members and from those started to take commissions.

Your Photographs:

I draw all of my Pet Portraits from photographs. The better the photo, the better the artwork. All that is required is at least one good quality picture of your pet that you can e-mail or post. Ideally I need clear, close-up shots of your pet. Get as close as you can, this will make the best portraits.

If you are sending any original photos in the post, then please do take copies of them for peace of mind when sending through the mail.
All photos will be taken great care of and returned in the condition they are sent to me in with your finished portrait.
If your pet is no longer with you, I will do my best to work from the photographs you already have.
